Planning a trip to Hunza this summer with two kids (6 and 9). Is July too crowded? Also wondering if the Khunjerab Pass day trip is worth it with young children or if it's too long a drive.
Agree with above. Also consider breaking the Khunjerab trip with a stop at the Attabad Lake boat ride on the way back, kids usually enjoy that more than the pass itself.

July is busy but manageable if you book hotels in advance. We went last August with a 7-year-old and the Khunjerab trip was long (full day) but she slept through most of the drive and loved seeing the yaks near the border. Worth it in my opinion.
